the laziness of me updating my blog is on me again but now sirchad is back. HAHAHAHA!!!!

some of you might be wondering why do we need to lower down our EPF contribution from 11% to 8%. do you think with that 3% will help our economy specifically Malaysia economy? why cant they increase the employer’s contribution, so we can balance up to our usual EPF contribution at 23%. EPF is good form of saving for old age, use to buy house and etc…

in my personal opinion, with the new rule apply, it wouldn’t bother me so much but i would prefer to maintain the 11%. due to the inconvenient of applying to maintain the 11%, then i would just leave it. imagine how long the process will take, will they screw up the process and all. i have some suggestions on how to utilize on the 3%: -

1) put it in a saving acc with higher interest rate  like e$aver (if you are conservative)

2) buy unit trust as the prices of unit trust is getting cheaper, this is more for the long term planning.

3) buy insurance with an investment link, insurance also protect you.

4) put it in a saving acc where it helps you to invest such as Power Vantage Plus.

5) buy cheap stock from the stock market since the market is bearish at the moment. according to the world famous market guru,  “most people get interested in stocks when everyone else is. the time to get interested is when no one else is. you cant buy what is popular and done well” – Warren Buffet

these suggestions are just my humble opinion. please do some research on your own before you invest or anything. you are responsible for your own losses.    :)            have a good week ahead.
